Rewind Yoyo store review, and some yoyos.

Recently, I went to Japan! I loved my time there, from the food, to the culture, to the Anime. (Yes I am a fan.) One exciting part of my vacation was going to Yoyo Store Rewind in Shibuya. It is a very nice store, and yes, you get to go to the famous Shibuya Crossing on the way! This is the location of the store, and its details.

What is Yoyo Store Rewind?

It is a specialty Yoyo store which has over 300 different yoyos from absolute beginner to expert. It has yoyos from many different brands, and of styles 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A. They also have many tutorials on their YouTube channel. I really like their channel as they have world-champions like Rei Iwakura provide in-depth tutorials for tricks. Unlike normal trick tutorial channels, they have many tricks that do not have a separate name, but are used in combos and are a great stepping stone between named tricks.

How was the experience

I was really excited to go here. Our staff were Jun Aramaki and Yutaka Ito. The former is the 2003 3A Runner up in Worlds. There were many people yo-yoing. They gave me B-grades as trial yoyos, and offering me useful advice. They were more than happy to teach me some side-style yoyo tricks (Bouncy GT). Note that it is best to talk to them via Google Translate. To sum it all up, it seems as if their goal is not to earn money, but to make yo-yoers happier.

What do you get?

With the yoyo, you get a couple of stickers, a brochure of all the members and popular yoyos of the store, a trading card having the stats of one of Rewind’s staff (I got Izuru Hasumi), and if you are shopping and not of Japan, then you can use the Tax-free service, and get yourself a tax refund along with a free holder.

Yoyo 1- YoyoFriends Armageddon

This is a nice yoyo. It was pretty smooth and nice, but it was vibrating more than a phone call on an iPhone, so they told me to try the Artifice.

Yoyo 2- Yoyofriends Artifice

Take my 2 cents of advice, this yoyo is better than the ones above. It is in all aspects just like a dementor from Harry Potter, smooth, silent, and deadly efficient at doing its job. By the way, when I asked AI to tell me the difference between the Artifice and Armageddon, it said that the artifice is like a bimetal, steady and solid, but it is a very floaty and fast yoyo.
